History

Chichawatni is a town having long set old as well as new traditions, particularly in respect of educational institutions and their excellent performance. The City not only possesses a particular place of fame and degree of importance on the basis of its asset of glowing traditions, but also occupies a distinct position in the whole Sahiwal Division on the basis of the number of educational institutions and their excellent record of performance. During the british reign, and in the early period after the creation of pakistan, it was known as “The city of schools”, this fact is the manifestation of that unprecedented educational role which chichawatni has been and would in sha Allah continue to perform at national and international level, since its existence on 14 August 1968 the 62 year of the establishment of the College, renowned inteluctual and educationist Mr. Muzaffar Qadir D.C Sahiwal along with the motivated personalities of the city esatblishe an educational trust college chichawatni

Dr. AD. Muztar was appointed the 1st Principal of the institute. In 1972 it was taken in Government Custody earlier it was an inter college and in Government Graduate College Chichawatni proudly initiated its BSC / BA programs in 2021.Since its establishment in 1962, the college has consistently upheld its commitment to academic excellence, playing, a pivotal role in enhancing the prestigious reputation of Chichawatni. With a forward-looking vision, the institution continues to thrive as a beacon of higher education from 2025 onward.

To Ensure The Delivery of high-quality education and foster a spirit of healthy competition, Government Graduate College Chichawatni introduced the prestigious "Super Section* for students achieving over 1000 marks in their Matriculation examinations.
